After Elder Mcmillion's demise Elder Thompson of Carthage,Texas took over as pastor soon after. Elder Thompson passed on to be with the Lord, afterwards Elder John Walton of the Eleven Hundred Community(Deberry,Texas) took over and under his leadership we renovated into a new building in the year of 1990! This new structure was named Zion Hill C.O.G.I.C. Later in the 1993, Elder Walton passed away and Elder David Leary became the leader. In 2002, he left the church and Elder Sylvester Conyer took the stand as pastor. Under his leadership, Zion Hill C.O.G.I.C was affectionately changed to Walton Memorial C.O.G.I.C in memory of the founder of the church Elder John Walton.
